Dear Music Lovers,

Welcome to the 10th Anniversary Season of Windham Chamber Music Festival concerts in the acoustically superb and historically preserved Windham Performing Arts Center.

Because of the generosity of arts supporters like you, for the past 7 years many of our recorded concerts have been featured nationwide on National Public Radio's "Performance Today" program. The live recordings chosen by NPR come from many of the world's finest musical organizations, and it is an honor to be in such company. We are grateful also for our ongoing close partnership with the Catskill Mountain Foundation and the very generous in-kind donations provided to WCMF by the Foundation and by Ruder Finn.

Our 2007 season opens on January 13th with a Special Winter Jazz Concert featuring a solo recital by the amazing young Uzbekistan-born jazz pianist, Vlad Girshevich. This is an evening of great music-making that is not to be missed!

On June 23rd we are pleased to present the Windham Festival debut of America's pre-eminent piano trio "Trio Solisti." This wonderful trio of superb musicians has performed all over the country to great acclaim and this concert is certain to be a very special one.

On July 14th, our 10th Anniversary Gala Concert will feature the Windham Festival Chamber Orchestra along with Metropolitan Opera soprano, Emily Pulley, former MET Orchestra concertmaster, Raymond Gniewek and the brilliant young pianist, Simone Dinnerstein in her Northern Catskills debut. Works by Mozart, Grieg, Dvorak, Rachmaninoff and Bartok will be featured.

August 11th brings a very special debut. We are pleased to present "Ethel", a 21st century version of the classic string quartet. This stunning new ensemble will present an evening of music which combines Classical, Contemporary, Jazz, New Age, Pop & Rock.

Finally, on September 1st, the great oud and violin master Simon Shaheen and his ensemble "Qantara" will come to the Northern Catskills for their first appearance ever. Shaheen and Qantara will perform an exciting fusion of Arabic, Jazz, Classical & Latin American Music.

Your support has made it possible to build an ongoing chamber music festival that attracts world-class performers to the Mountain Top as well as continuing to give the Northern Catskill area national exposure over National Public Radio.

We hope you will join us for what will certainly be a wonderful 10th Anniversary Season.

Thank you so much!

Robert Manno   Magdalena Golczewski
